The Week That Was.
Another weekend and it brings along the rejuvenation that you have long waited for over the weekdays. This week started off on the usual note. Mondays and Tuesdays were spent largely in the office, doing the last assignment that I have been assigned before my notice period gets over. The preparation for "Vishu" started on Wednesday with I and my mom going to Matunga to shop for some fresh vegetables that later on found their way into cuisines on Thursday. A visit to the nearby Kochu Guruvayoor temple and a cup of filter coffee from the nearby Mani's restaurant is always refreshing. The later part of Wednesday was largely spent in helping Mom with her preparation. Thursday morning, the NEW YEAR "Vishu" was celebrated with the same gradeur. Mom guided me, with my eyes still closed, to see "Vishukani" in the morning. The day began with a prayer to god to shower his blessings throughout the year. As part of the festive ritual, I also got "kainettam" from my dad. Friends and relatives kept pouring in later through the day. The lunch, I must admit, was lavish with some amazing kerala delicacy. In this whole affair, I didn't get time to brush through my CFA preparation. Friday was the best day in office. I managed to get some work done on my assignment. Today, I met some of my future batchmates from NUS. We all met up at CCD at the Linking Road. Meanwhile, I am still awaiting my I/V results from the IIMs. It's mom's bday tomorrow and I have to do some serious shopping for a gift. Sunday, ahaa, anther refreshing day. I am looking forward to it. With IPL, a whole season of the sitcom FRINGE and CFA , I am sure the weekend is going to be exciting as well.
